he wine estate Maison Robert Faller et fis is not only stretched over the sunniest hillsides of the city of Ménétriers, but also on the famous Geisberg and Kirchberg terroirs, labelled as Grands Crus. Bénédicte and Nicolas, Jean-Baptiste Faller’s children, have now taken over while maintaining this premium winery’s high reputation, in place since 1697 and which sells 55,000 bottles per year.
Flagshipwine
This is definitely the cuvée that the Faller winery are the most proud of. Already used by us before 1900. The terrain lies on the outskirts of the town of Ribeauvillé, on a southfacing slope with many little walls lending it a favourable microclimate for a well-balanced wine. This site has enormous quality potential. As for the wine, subtle on the nose with classy harmonious mineral notes, good length with poise and tight finish; its production is limited to 6,000 bottles. This excellent long ageing wine allows it to blend a noble character whilst still preserving a surprising structure.
