Joseph Cattin

In Steinbach, a village lying in the southern Alsace vineyard area and well-known since the Middle Ages for its Pinot Noir, called “Steinbacher Rota” (Steinbach red), the Cattin family owns blocks on some outstanding terrain. Its iron-rich marl and sandstone soil combined with perfect exposure give unique concentration to the wines sourced from it. The vines are carefully grown here to preserve this superb site’s rich natural resources. This wine, made in small quantities, is often seen on many starred restaurant wine lists.
