Domaine Louis Sipp

Named first in 1328 and already cultivated by the Lords of Ribeaupierre, the Kirchberg de Ribeauvillé hillside has been recognised for a long time as an outstanding site and now ranks among the Alsace Grand Crus elite. With southern and southwestern exposure marked by a steep slope, it rests on a marl-chalk substrate with veins of yellow sandstone. The cooling winds caressing this hillside give our wines structure and character. Always well structured, our Riesling Grand Cru Kirchberg, tight and fresh when young, develop more complex mineral notes over the years while retaining elegance and finesse. Their ageing potential is remarkable.
